My name is John Katila. I make pictures about things I see going on around me. Sometimes I see things that make me happy. Sometimes I see things that make me sad. Sometimes I just make pictures as a response to things or ideas I find interesting.

I use simple shapes and vivid colors in my pictures to make concepts clear. I like to combine images in unexpected ways. I sometimes use humor in my pictures to help make a point.

I have worked as a print designer, web designer, Internet marketer, and illustrator. I have had the pleasure of working on projects for clients including Nestlé, Stouffer’s, Visa USA, Eaton Corporation, FirstEnergy, Summa Health System, Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores, the Ohio Lottery, Advance Auto Parts, Gold’s Gym, the Cleveland Indians (Guardians) and the Cleveland Browns, among others.
